Carpet pre-spray treatment - Dilute StarPRO carpet extraction detergent 1:20 with hot water (25ml per 500ml hand spray) Spray heavily soiled areas and traffic lanes prior to deep cleaning the whole area by shampooing or extraction cleaning. Use a hand brush to work the solution into the carpet pile. Care should be taken not to over wet the carpet.
Carpet general soiling - Dilute StarPRO industrial carpet shampoo 1:50 with hot water (100ml per 5L) For excessive soiling increase dilution strength to 120ml per 5L.
Carpet cleaning directions - Before carrying out any deep cleaning of carpets, all furniture should be removed. The area must then be thoroughly vacuumed to remove all dust and grit. Any heavy stain spots in the carpet should be identified and removed using StarPRO Carpet Spot and Stain Remover RTU spray, and the correct procedure. Clean carpet starting at the area furthest from the entrance. Spray solution onto the carpet with a carpet wand, using long overlapping strokes followed by 2 or 3 dry passes to extract the liquid and leave the carpet as dry as possible. Do not over wet the carpet. When the carpet is completely dry, vacuum to raise the pile. If furniture is returned to the area before the carpet has thoroughly dried, use pieces of plastic or foil underneath the feet to prevent stains occurring.
Upholstery general soiling - Dilute StarPRO carpet and upholstery cleaning detergent 1:50 with hot water (100ml per 5L)
Upholstery cleaning directions - A deep cleaning technique used on large chairs and settees to remove ingrained dirt. The equipment and method are both similar to carpet extraction cleaning but a hand held extraction tool is used, rather than the larger carpet nozzle and wand. Do not over wet the upholstery.
Colour fastness - It is important to test all textile surfaces for colour fastness before carrying out any cleaning procedure. Always check that the chosen cleaning technique is compatible with the type of carpet and upholstery to be cleaned. To check colour fastness, always test the carpet or fabric to be cleaned with the solution before commencing any full cleaning operation.
